Where it all started
Our journey began on January 5, 2020 at a coffee shop after making an online connection. What started as a simple meeting turned into hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and an instant connection neither of us wanted to end. By the end of the day, Steve invited me to dinner, turning our very first meeting into two unforgettable dates in one. From that moment on, we made every effort to see each other—planning weekends together and finding time during the week whenever we could. What began with a cup of coffee grew into a beautiful love story that brings us here today.
Our First Adventure
Just two months after making our relationship official, we took a weekend trip to Austin to see how well we traveled together. What began as a simple getaway became a beautiful chapter in our story. Surrounded by new experiences, we shared laughter, meaningful conversations, and countless special moments. The trip brought us even closer and confirmed what we were already beginning to feel—that we had found something truly special in each other.
The proposal
The most unforgettable chapter of our story came on Christmas Day 2025. After a wonderful family gathering for an early dinner and gift exchange, Stephen had one more surprise waiting. As one of my favorite songs, for Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," has been set to play, he dropped to one knee. Holding a beautiful ring, he asked the question that would change our lives forever: "Roya, will you marry me?" Overwhelmed with joy and completely surprised, I could hardly believe the moment was real. Through happy tears and a trembling smile, I answered, "Yes, I do!" It was a magical Christmas gift, the beginning of our next chapter, and a moment we will cherish forever.
